Dr. Celeste Richmond

Dr. Celeste Richmond is the owner of KinFolk Integrative Health and a licensed Naturopathic physician in the state of Washington. She is a California native with roots in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi as well as recovered ancestry from present-day Nigeria, Cameroon, England, Scotland, and Ireland.  She graduated from San Francisco State University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Four years later, she received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Sonoran University of Health Sciences (formerly known as the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences). She then completed her general medicine residency, with a focus in behavioral health, at The Center – A Place of Hope in the greater Seattle area, followed by two years of primary care with a focus in mental health.

She shares a keen interest in mind-body medicine, epigenomics, inter-generational healing, ancestral nutrition, oneirology, and psycho-spiritual healing. Years of recovering, reclaiming, and re-integrating ancestral wisdom has been instrumental in overcoming her own struggles. She is committed to integrating timeless, ancestral healing wisdom with her Naturopathic medical expertise to help her clients understand and unshackle generational mental health concerns while reclaiming their health, their sovereignty, and their TRUE authentic selves. In her practice, she blends Naturopathic medicine with ancestral philosophies recovered from her own lineage: Southern African-American rootwork, Tikar cosmology, “Egbògi” (traditional Yorùbá medicine), “Ogwugwo” (the traditional Igbo concept of healing), and Celtic folk healing. Her areas of focus include mental health, addiction recovery, and co-morbid conditions, such as, cardiovascular disease, digestive disorders, autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue, and more. To further support her commitment to intergenerational healing in the community, she is also pursuing research training in translational epidemiology at the University of Washington, with a focus in intergenerational epigenetic inheritance from mother to child.

Her primary goal as a physician is to hold space for YOU to heal YOURSELF.

— What does it mean to “hold space“? —

Her way of “holding space” includes listening, affirming, and working in partnership with her clients to address the root cause of their concerns. She also “holds space” by using genomic analysis, naturopathic modalities, and intuitive coaching techniques to remove obstacles to whole-person healing and to stimulate the body’s innate ability to self-correct itself.

She looks forward to hearing from you and working with you on your healing journey!
