Strategies to Help You Tap into Your Intuition
Meditation Coaching
Meditation is healing and liberating. Despite what is shown on TV and social media, there is no right or wrong way to meditate. Dr. Richmond initially provides brief guided meditations as a foundation for her clients. However, she primarily guides them in creating their own personalized, daily meditation practice – one that is best suited for their personal background and lifestyle. Once clients develop their own meditation practice, deeper emotions, thoughts and wounds can come to the surface. Dr. Richmond helps clients to process these realizations, tap into their own intuition and discover their own insights. As deeper truths are revealed, mental and emotional freedom is obtained and personal empowerment is achieved.
Flower Essence Therapy
Flower essences are a part of an emerging field called “subtle energy medicine”, which also includes homeopathy, acupuncture, reiki, craniosacral therapy, and more. Made from flowers or plant blossoms, a flower essence is a liquid extract that carries the energetic signature and healing archetype of one or more plants. This extract helps address energetic blockages to mind-body health, emotional well-being, and soul development in a way that is gentle, safe, and easy to integrate into daily settings. (e.g. A well-known brand is Bach Rescue Remedy.) Since these essences are energetic in nature, they can either be ingested or applied topically.
*These preparations are ENERGETIC remedies. They are NOT herbal extracts and therefore safe for everyone to use – including pregnant women and children. In rare cases, however, flower essence therapy may uncover uncomfortable/traumatic memories that may need further assistance with a mental health professional. In such cases, clients are provided resources and/or referrals to licensed mental health providers or energy healing practitioners for additional support.*
Therapeutic Breathwork
Dr. Richmond uses a variety of breathing techniques to regulate the vagus nerve, enhance stress management skills, promote emotional regulation, increase body awareness, and encourage intuitive awareness. She may also encourage biofeedback to help clients see first-handedly how controlled, rhythmic breathing directly impacts their physical health.
Somatic Healing Exercises
Often times, following a traumatic or distressing event, we become stuck in “fight-or-flight” mode. When this happens, we can become stuck in our thoughts and disconnect from the feelings and sensations in our bodies. As a result, we lose access to our own intuitive wisdom and mistrust our instincts, leading to dysfunctional mental, emotional, and relational patterns. Somatic awareness techniques (or grounding exercises) can help you reconnect with your body’s unique way of communicating with you, helping you make better decisions & replace dysfunctional patterns with healthy ones.
Intuitive Recovery Prompts
Ancestral healing wisdom heavily stresses the importance of one’s intuition in navigating the environment and maintaining a balanced mind, body and spirit. Once clients are able to regulate their breath and reconnect with the feelings and sensations in their bodies, they are provided individualized journal prompts to help strengthen their “intuitive muscle” by learning which of the five intuitive senses most resonate with them.

Dreamwork
Dreams provide a wealth of insight into our psychological, emotional, and spiritual/energetic state. Modern science theorizes that dreams may be a manifestation of our subconscious thoughts and memories. Many ancestral healing traditions believe the same. However, they also believe that dreams are a gateway to the spiritual world and the ancestral realm. Much research is still needed to support these beliefs. However, dreamwork can still prove to be useful for uncovering suppressed emotions, feelings, intergenerational wounds, and ancestral gifts. Dr. Richmond offers a number of tools to enhance the dream state, enhance dream recall, and support self-awareness.
